A Constellation is a group of stars that are considered to form imaginary outlines and meaningful patterns on the celestial sphere. The 88 modern constellations are defined regions of the sky together covering the entire celestial sphere.
In between them 12 constellations are called Zodiac. The plane in which the Earth orbits the Sun is called the ecliptic. The ecliptic intersects at the middle point of the celestial sphere. The circle of the ecliptic is divided by 12 equal parts. Zodiac are located in the belt of this intersection. The Zodiac circle traditionally starts on the spring equinox. So the Sun moving into the Pisces constellation marks the beginning of the Zodiac circle. During the year the Sun enters all 12 constellations. And the end of the Zodiac circle is in the Aquarius constellation.A total of 360° angle is covered by 12 equal angle of 12 constellations.
